Up until the late 1990’s blast rated buildings were constructed onsite, typically with steel reinforced concrete. This process introduced safety and security issues to the plant and the time on site was measured in months not days. With the introduction of the factory-built modular blast resistant building, the site work to install factory-made structures has significantly been diminished yet; it is still necessary.

Unlike the days where modules were single self-contained modules, Hallwood Modular’s “lego” type Blast Building System offers unmatched flexibility from stackable and multi-module complexes that require onsite installations. They can be large free-span areas for the lunchroom, meeting areas, supervisor offices, all safely configured in the process area. However, for the buildings to operate as designed, they need to be instilled correctly and properly maintained.
Hallwood Modular’s Site Services division has safety-oriented technicians who work day-in and day-out in the plants skilled in all aspects of steel-modular construction, installations, renovations, refurbishments, relocations, door maintenance/replacements, etc.
